So, it was Mia's birthday

It was Mia's 9th birthday on Thursday so last night we had a party with a few friends. We started out going bowling after school and then they came over for a little sleepover. It really went great but by 1:00 A.M. Eric finally asked them to stop talking so we ALL could get a little sleep. And wouldn't you know, they were up and at 'em by 7:00 A.M.

A Day With the Clam Hunter

Since Mom and Dad are here and have never been clamming (and truth be told, Eric and I haven't been either!) we called in the big guns to find our dinner.

And it was finally time to undo the braids from Mexico. What took 1 person an hour to put in,

took 3 of us about an hour to take out!

Visitors

When we arrived home last Saturday, my parents had gotten into town about 5 hours earlier. We've enjoyed a great week so far and are looking forward to a couple more with them. Here are just a couple fun pictures from our walk today.

Since it's snowing today

I thought I'd share a little more from our trip.

On Tuesday the girls and Nate headed into Cabo to do a little shopping.Everyone found lots of little treasures.

The guys joined us for dinner in the evening.
Eric and I shared this enormous!!! seafood platter...we didn't even make a dent in it.

Then we headed back to the hotel and the kids went swimming one more time before heading to bed.

Good Morning, Laur!

On our way home we had a 5 HOUR layover at LAX so a few Hofwegens descended upon the airport to visit with us and help pass the time.

Back from Cabo!

So we headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for spring break with the whole gang. We had a great time and the weather wasn't to shabby either! I'm not even sure where to begin with pictures but here are just a few. One highlight was the kids got to go swimming with the dolphins.

Interesting little observation

The weather is improving and we were outside yesterday playing a little t-ball and I realized something cool. Tyler, who is left handed, was batting right handed. Joey, who is right handed, was batting left handed. Hmmm, rather interesting. They could be quite a duo for some major league team someday. :)
