I think time really does fly.

Gotta love him. Lucas finished up his paper during centers early and was taking it easy before moving on.

Everyone headed to school to help Dad with a project. They thought it was pretty fun exploring the old middle school building.

Mia came with me to a shoot last weekend and then we went exploring afterwards.

It was a beautiful afternoon.

These 3 were working on separate drawings. It was fun to compare the way they each tackled what they were doing.

Holly's "super strict" :) piano teacher "threatened" to take away her beloved hymn book if she continued to only practice her hymns and didn't start practicing her other songs. What a dilema!

Can you tell what unit they are on in P.E.?

Holly's team went out with a bang. Todays game was a barn burner. An 8-8 tie but they still took home some hardware. Great job to the Green Turfy's.

It's Valentine's Day

So I thought I'd show a little love and post an update.  I know my parents are out roaming the country somewhere and currently have a good internet connection so I'm getting some new pics up for them!
(These little snippets of our daily life all thanks to round three of Project Life/Project 365...whatever you want to call it. It's just a great way to get scrapbook life AND stay on top of it!)

Our new chalkboard wall in the kitchen is a huge hit! I do need to give it one more coat and let it set a little longer this time and I think we'll be good to go.

Celebrating Eric's birthday.

and MORE basketball!

This is "sisters convincing/bribing little brothers to do anything". It was a great little performance they put on of Wizard of Oz. Well choreographed and executed I might add! There's a couple blackmail photos I'm keeping for just the right time!

Lily visiting me at work.

The SUN!

and MORE SUN!

Basketball anyone?

Patiently waiting for Mom.

My poor wedding ring was took the brunt of hard hit, my finger is just fine. Thankfully it's been repaired. Eric took it in and it's looks great!

Gabe came over with some pointers on the game of chess.

Love these little handwritten stories that come home from school and always helpful with a little interpretation from the teacher.

A Storybook Day

Not your typical Friday. A few weeks ago H, L, T and J dressed up for the Storybook Character Parade at school.

Hmmm, he looks vaguely familiar to last years character (and book)!

He's almost 40!

This weekend we celebrated Eric's 40th birthday with friends. What a great night! We had asked some friends of ours, who have hosted larger groups from time to time and make incredible food, if they'd be willing to host the dinner for us and they actually said YES! We were thrilled! A HUGE thank you to Captain Randy and Janice, Jeff and Kathi, Marla and Dan and Jim and Stacy! You guys outdid yourselves and made our night perfect! To make the night even better, a HUGE thanks to HOT WALLY for providing some great entertainment. Actually, not sure if it was Hot Wally that was more entertaining or the special guest singers throughout the night?!

Had to invite him, he's family. :)

I had made some place mats for the tables, they were collages of photos of Eric, and I think they stirred up some fun conversations.

I made up this poster, too, with all sorts of random facts that happened in 1971, the year Eric was born. (thank you, Wikipedia!)

Happy Birthday, Eddie!  You are loved!
