"Summer"

In spite of the lack of summer weather we are still doing all our regular summer activities. This past weekend the boys played in the Razz Fest 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Their friend, Mack played with them to complete the team. Great job, boys!

This week is VBS at church. Everyone is having a great time learning some new stuff. Mia and Ellie and helping with Tie-Dye and I think their hands will be permanently stained!

I've been anxious to mess around with sparklers this summer, too, so last night we lit a few and had a little fun. May have to do more playing again!

Everything is red, white and blue!

We had a great 4th this year with family, lots of great food, hunting for frogs and fireworks!

Happiness is...

Slipping and sliding in 60+ degree weather with freezing cold water and lovin' it.

(sorry, no editing filter, I LOVE slip-n-slide pictures and there are too many fun ones to choose so you get a bunch!) :)

Summing up a week of memories

It will be clearly impossible to sum up all the great memories we made this past week on our trip to Banff and Jasper. So, since it's Father's Day, I'm going to share some of my favorite photos of Eric and some of his favorite things from this past week.

Their rock star pose after 'Rockin' the Dock'.  We had been on a long (and successful) 'Evening Wildlife Tour' and needed to burn off some energy!

On the way to the Columbia Icefield.

Looking for the tea house at Lake Louise that we hiked up to.

A few of Eric's favorites from the week...

Favorite campsite: Tunnel Mountain 1 in Banff.

Favorite Hike #1: Lake Agnes Tea House at Lake Louise. Pretty great view on the way up!

And some snow on the way down!

Favorite Hike #2: Angel Glacier. We heard and saw small avalanches most of the time we were up there.

Favorite View #1: In Jasper

Another favorite in Jasper.

Very favorite thing to do this past week:  Looking for wildlife and they did not disappoint! We saw LOTS and LOTS of wildlife!

We had a great week making great memories, memories that will last a lifetime.  Our God is a creative God and we saw evidence of that everywhere we went.

Simply Amazing!
